Daniel Wende (born July 24, 1984 in Essen, Germany) is a German pair skater. Daniel WENDE teamed up with Maylin Hausch in 2008. They are the 2010 German national champions and represented Germany at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Daniel WENDE and Maylin won their first Grand Prix medal, bronze, at 2010 Trophée Eric Bompard.

Alexander Smirnov, born October 11, 1984 in Tver is a Russian pair skater. Alexander SMIRNOV teamed up with Yuko Kavaguti in the spring of 2006. They are the 2010 European champions, 2009 and 2010 World bronze medalists, and 2008-2010 Russian Champions.

They have won a total of four European medals. On the Grand Prix series, Alexander SMIRNOV and Yuko Kavagti have won eight medals, including two gold medals at 2008 Skate Canada International and 2010 Cup of Russia.

As of May 2011, The International Skating Union (ISU) ranks them 3rd in the world.
