Welcome to Sandy Shores Skating Club. We have a passion for skating and encourage others to

enjoy the same passion.

Skating can be enjoyed by the young and the young at heart. There is a place at Sandy Shores for everyone interested in skating. The club has been in Parksville since 1976 with the purpose of encouraging the instruction, practice, enjoyment and advancement of its members in all aspects of figure skating.

Our name was chosen because of our arena's close proximity to the beautiful sandy beaches of Parksville Bay. Over the years we have had many stars come and join us at our club.

Victor Kraatz attended the Rushtons Summer Skating School at our arena before his career blossomed, Lloyd Eisler and Isabelle Brasseur joined us in one of our many ice shows, and we have also

been visited by Josee Chouinard.

We look forward to many more years of continued success in the Oceanside community.
