Orange County Figure Skating Club

Orange County Figure Skating Club is organizing a group
event to RISE, a special one-night Fathom event
celebrating American figure skating while commemorating
the 50th anniversary of the 1961 U.S. World Team tragedy.

The Orange County Figure Skating Club has been a part of the local Orange County community since 1975, and is a member club of the United States Figure Skating Association.  Home ice for the Club is located at the Ice Palace on Journey Road in Aliso Viejo. The Club was formed under the name
Mesa Verde Figure Skating Club.

Eighteen years later, the Club was allowed by the United States Figure Skating Association to change its name to Orange County Figure Skating Club, which was initially its first choice years ago.
The Club was formed to promote the sport of figure skating in Orange County, both recreational and competitive.  Skating is a sport, which may be enjoyed throughout life.  Skaters enjoy a feeling of freedom and exhilaration, improved circulation and general well-being.

Through its membership with the United States Figure Skating Association, the Club is the vehicle by which local talented, aspiring skaters may take qualifying tests and enter competitions to climb the ladder to Regional, Sectional, National, International, World and Olympic competitions.
