Kristiene Gong is the 2009 U.S. junior pewter medalist. Kristiene Gong Qualified for the 2010 Junior Grand Prix Final.
Started skating at age 7 because it was a way for her to get the exercise needed to overcome some childhood health problems. Participated in the Basic Skills Program.
Kristiene Gong says the defining moment in her career was when she chose ice skating over playing the piano. Lived in China for five years.
After skating, she would like to pursue a career in sports medicine or sports psychology. If she does not work in sports, she will be a chef. Enjoys art, music and dancing.
Hobbies include cooking, playing music, reading, hanging out with friends and learning new things. Kristiene Gong would like to meet Yu-Na Kim "because she is an amazing skater who is almost always able to step up to the plate even under intense pressure and I'd love to learn how she does it."
