The ATLANTA FIGURE SKATING CLUB is an enthusiastic group of over 400 members who are devoted to the advancement and promotion of figure skating as an art and a sport. We are one of the largest clubs in the country and we celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2008. We are a member of U.S. Figure Skating, the governing body for the sport, which is recognized as such by the U.S. Olympic Committee and the International Skating Union.
Host of Major Competitions
The Atlanta Figure Skating Club has hosted seven major competitions: the 1976, 1985 and 2000 South Atlantic Regional Championships, the 1992 Skate America senior international competition, the 1980 and 2004 State Farm U.S. Figure Skating Championships, and the 2007 Eastern Sectional Championships. In addition, we conduct two large annual competitions, The Magnolia Open and The Atlanta Open.
