Designed to Perform
The Parabolic’s advanced tapered design narrows to the mid-section of the blade and returns to full width at the blades heel and toe – translating into less steel and a lighter blade overall. Since the Parabolic concentrates even more of the skater’s weight on the very center of the blade, it relies less on the ends of the blade. Therefore the heel and toe of the blade will typically see less wear than with standard blades. Blade maintenance is easy and there is no difference in sharpening between the parabolic and traditional blades.
Longer Blade Life
Because the Parabolic keeps the weight of the skater on the center of the blade, less of the blade surface is used. This improves not only stability, but also has benefits for blade sharpening and overall blade life. The narrow center allows the blade to be sharpened in fewer passes. Since fewer passes are required, the life of the blade will typically be longer that that of standard blades.
For best results, sharpen your Parabolic blades only by an authorized John Wilson or MK dealer.
